The Mets are 1-0. The Yankees are 0-1. Will this hold up, or is it just April Fool's?
If the Mets do end up with a better record than the Yankees, it'd be the first time since 1991 that they accomplished that without losing in the World Series ... to the Yankees (2000).
Stay tuned for a follow-up that looks at all multi-team cities to see if the Mets are the most hapless of the bunch!
