Thank you, Samsung
Howdy friends!
If you’re reading this, it’s because I wanted to thank you specifically as someone who made an unforgettable impression on me in my 18 months here at Samsung. So before the rest of this note, let me do that.
Thank you for being there, thank you for being you, and thank you for allowing yourself to be part of my life.
When I was interviewing to join Samsung in early 2025, Esco Strong asked me to tell him “about a project you were on where nothing went right. How did you handle it?”
18 months in, I have to be honest. I don’t have a ton to show for it. And I can see why Esco asked his question in the first place.
My time here had some real setbacks: a missed revenue goal, a role elimination, and product builds that have yet to deliver on their potential.
But life’s not just about what you accomplished. It’s about what you experienced, what you learned, how you felt, who you met. From that lens, I look back on my Samsung time with gratitude.
What has always driven me is a simple longing, a chase, for one simple mission. Doing something that matters to me with people that matter to me.
I got that here.
Thank you for the experience, the challenge, the lessons, the magical moments of collaboration, the life-changing trip to Suwon, for all of it. I’m thankful to have known each of you.
While Friday is my last day as a Samsung colleague, I expect we will stay in touch as friends for years to come.
